bram awardI think it’s probably my life’s quest to find some way to “balance the absurd with the smart,” so imagine my joy when Brutal as Hell’s Keri O’Shea wrote a fabulous review of the Bram Stoker fest films in which she concludes that trippin’ does just that.  Now if I can just apply this new found skill to my personal life, I’ll be jammin’!  Check out the full review HERE.  And I SWEAR I’ll document my own full account of the wondrous event soon.  Halloween (and AFM season) is a rather busy time of year for this horror gal and I simply haven’t had a moment to breathe much less blog is all.  I shall reanimate soon, really I will…

Back from Bram and Totally Stokered!

bram stoker award smWords can’t describe the wonderfulness of returning to the Bram Stoker Int’l Film Fest (at least not in my current jet-lagged state – I shall make a proper attempt with loads of photos in the coming days.)  brenda lis bram signI can’t thank the wonderful programmers, participants and people of Whitby enough for another experience of a lifetime.  And to top it all off, trippin’ won Best Screenplay!  My dear friends Lis and Brenda Fies won Best International Feature!   (and fest buddy Kody Zimmerman won best short film – congrats!)  It was a truly magical time.  Alas, however, the new semester begins tomorrow and I have classes to prep now, but a full detailed account is forthcoming, I swear…
