Just like Sheila E., Devi wants to live the glamorous life. She’s not quite there yet. In the meantime, here’s where she’s at…

Just Kids…Forever!

December 8th, 2010 by Devi Snively (The Directrix)

patti smith robert mapplethorpeChoosing a producer is much like finding a partner with whom to raise a child I imagine.  You have to share a lot of the same values and vision.  Otherwise, your kid’s gonna wind up a confused, incoherent mess.  As I rode the plane  over Labor Day weekend en route to the Oklahoma Horror Film Festival, I was reassured once more that I was in good hands with my producer, Stephanie. trippin’ & Death Traildance together!

November 29th, 2010 by Devi Snively (The Directrix)

GrimReapermarijuana_leafCongrats, Team!  Both Death in Charge and trippin’ will screen at the Traildance Film Festival in January!  I’m so bummed to have to miss this one – I’ve heard great things from numerous friends who’ve participated and we had a total blast in nearby Tulsa at the Oklahoma Horror Festival a couple months back (about which I SWEAR I’m finally gonna blog this week, but not just yet.  It’s midterms and somebody has some serious grading to attend to alas.)  Until then, cheerio!

bram awardI think it’s probably my life’s quest to find some way to “balance the absurd with the smart,” so imagine my joy when Brutal as Hell’s Keri O’Shea wrote a fabulous review of the Bram Stoker fest films in which she concludes that trippin’ does just that.  Now if I can just apply this new found skill to my personal life, I’ll be jammin’!  Check out the full review HERE.  And I SWEAR I’ll document my own full account of the wondrous event soon.  Halloween (and AFM season) is a rather busy time of year for this horror gal and I simply haven’t had a moment to breathe much less blog is all.  I shall reanimate soon, really I will…
