It arrived in the mail today! The paycheck for a three day “gig” in early November. All the days of phoning in to check if I’m needed, all the frustration of finding the best transportation arrangement in proximity to where I’ll have to check in, everything I learned in school and the life experience gathered since then, all the hours have finally paid off! So, I’m back in my old stomping grounds here in the Village. To quote Dorothy Gail once more, “There’s no place like home.” From the instant our plane descended to JFK I felt that old familiar energy. NYC will always be a part of me.

Juror Duty

Talk about feeling “all grown up.” For the first time I am in the juror’s as opposed to the filmmaker’s seat for a festival. It’s pretty super cool actually. It came about in an interesting way.
