google-alerts-main_fullAmid a daunting mound of e-mails that require my thoughtful attention and response, Google Alert just surprised me with this: http://www.theindependentcritic.com/short_films__d_archive

Ah, a brief moment to bask between tasks.  Thanks, Google Alert and congrats, Team Death.  We’re up to like 30 positive reviews now.  Not bad for a short (whose distribution deal is growing more complicated by the day – grumble, grumble.  Jeesh.)

Incidentally, we also just got into festival #85 – the Indy Horror Festival – sadly, we can’t attend as it’s opposite 2 screenings of trippin’ at 2 other concurrent fests.  Nonetheless, a nice dilemma to have I suppose.

spread-eagle-females_MG1453BTW, if you don’t know about Google Alert, you should -  why go through the shame of Googling yourself if Google will be narcissistic for you?  It  sends you a link every time your name is mentioned somewhere online.  I suppose that’s more helpful to those with names that aren’t so very common, but it’s still a nifty feature and has led me to find the majority of our online reviews about which we might not otherwise ever know.  And how else would I have discovered www.devispreadeagle.com and been able to demand my percentage of the profits?  Just kidding (I hope).  I’m getting loopy.  Back to work.
