I think Mickey is a sensitive woman who, much like her husband, feels the need to put up this tough as nails exterior to get through life.  I imagine she’s had a rather difficult life and her husband and good friends have always been a much-needed support system for her.  She’s witty, sarcastic, and creative – Yes, I would definitely be friends with her, haha!   If I could give her one piece of advice, it would be to let go of her tough facade and of the feeling that she needs to carry the whole world on her shoulders- that being a martyr is not admirable and  she doesn’t have to do everything on her own.  I think in the end, it’s clear that Mickey’s choice to take everything onto herself produces the worst, most unnecessary results.  I would try to help her see that this is inevitable when you hold everything inside and refuse to accept the help of those around you.
