Okay – that pisses me off. I have purposefully refrained from putting trippin’ up on IMDB because I didn’t want to date us – some sage advice given to me by a distributor I met a a fest. But, as you may or may not know, the same guy who runs IMDB also runs Withoutabox now and I just discovered that merely by entering a fest through Withoutabox, your film is automatically put up on IMDB whether you like it or not. Big Brother much? I think that totally sucks! Once upon a time it actually meant something to get your film up on IMDB. It meant your film had been accepted to a qualifying festival or it had a distribution deal. Now anybody and her dog can get up there just by paying a nominal fee. Admittedly, my dog is up there, too, but at least she earned her way by being in Raven Gets a Life which actually earned its IMDB credit.
