Wow – you know life’s spinning along fast when you read an interview you gave only a couple of months ago and think, “Wow, my life’s changed so much since then.” I had the great pleasure of participating in Eerie Digest’s Spotlight which got posted this month and I had a fun exchange with editor Joseph O’Donnell -check it out HERE.
However, I fear my answers are already horribly outdated. This was before trippin’ landed us a trip to Cannes, before Death secured domestic distribution, before Eli began its own unexpected tour, before we moved the Dolores shoot to Michigan, before I began talks about an Australian co-production on 2 of my other scripts, before I took all those meetings with new producers and managers, and before we finished the real final draft of our new feature which now has a producer and other cast/crew attached and is set for production in 2011.
Sometimes, despite all the hard work, I feel like Sisyphus and that nothing is getting accomplished, but as I read my own words, I realized things really have been moving forward as we’ve been busy plugging away. Oh, the power of baby steps. I hop a plane to France tomorrow. Fingers, crossed the ash cloud won’t interfere with our plans. I have no idea what’s in store across the pond, but there’s no where else I’d rather be going, nothing else I’d rather be doing. To quote Irene Cara, “What a feeling!”
A bientot!
