bill_and_tedI just found out that Death in Charge got into the Asheville and Arizona Underground Film Fests – woo-hoo!  70 festivals to date – a new record for us.  We also learned that we took best comedic short at the Fargo Fantastic Fest and best actress at Eerie Horror! We were also nominated for best short and best director – sweet!  Apparently there are some other award nominations I’m waiting to hear back about (including best female lead, best short and best screenplay at another fest).  Go Death! Congrats to the whole team!  I hope this bodes well for trippin’

bendsign smMy final morning in Bend was great.  Had a breakfast meeting with my AFI sister and dear friend Susan Cohen, recapping our fun weekend and talking of plans for the future.  I got to cindyaustin smhang with my host family a tad more – sharing our thoughts on some of the films, politics and life in general.  A perfect way to balance out a magnificent weekend and segue back into reality – if one can call L.A. reality.  Got bumped up to first class for the ride home as well – sweet!  Sometimes you not only get what you need, you get what you want.  I wanted some free wine spritzers on my ride home and was accommodated.

Not sure if there’ll be wi-fi in Whitby or Philly where I’m headed next.  I imagine there will definitely be adventures and news however.  Until then, ta!
