Just like Sheila E., Devi wants to live the glamorous life. She’s not quite there yet. In the meantime, here’s where she’s at…

Thank You, Michael Hein …And Goodbye?

July 10th, 2011 by Devi Snively (The Directrix)

festgang smI remember the first words Michael Hein ever spoke to me as I arrived to claim my filmmaker badge, “Oh, you’re a girl.  I always thought you were a guy.”  It was the first time we’d made the New York City Horror Film Festival’s selective cut with our short film RAVEN GETS A LIFE and it felt like a true rite of passage being there.  No more was ever said of my gender.  Michael praised our film and made sure I felt welcome.  He was the consummate host and drew the most wonderful crowds to his impressive eventRead the rest of this entry »

dr szaleswki smIt’s been a good week for LAST SEEN ON DOLORES STREET. First, we’ve received news that we got into the Waterfront Film Festival - another first for us – yay!  Then DOLORES joined the rank of our other films by officially becoming “award-winning”, as we’ve won the award for Best Cinematography (congrats,  John!)  at the Humboldt Film Festival (another first for us, I was so sad to miss it – supposed to be a really great fest according to friends who’ve been.)  And to ice the yummy cake, I actually showed DOLORES to my students yesterday and one young woman actually screamed out loud, making even me jump from the unexpected jolt.  That was a prize unto itself. Behind the Scenes of Our Latest Shoot….

May 15th, 2011 by Devi Snively (The Directrix)

DSCN1523DSCN1527It’s hard to believe it was just a year ago we were with trippin’ at Cannes, and now we’re in post on our PAIGE & HADLEY teaser, development for several features and pre-production for a new short and a webisodes series, as we sit on some rather big news we should be ready to share by early June.  In the meantime, still photographer BEN JACKSON has surprised us with some candid video footage live from our set a few weeks back.  We’ll unveil the new teaser in June, in the meantime – catch a sneak peek HERE. Also, stay tuned for more screening updates on LAST SEEN ON DOLORES STREET – we broke new festival ground again – yay!
